Youth Day of Caring

Every year, United Way’s Day of Caring program brings hundreds of volunteers out into the community where they work together with non profit agencies to complete meaningful, hands-on projects. The annual Youth Day of Caring is no different, except that it all happens on one action-packed day! Youth from high schools across the city join together to get their hands dirty and complete community action projects that have an impact on dozens of agencies.

The annual Youth Day of Caring was launched in June 2006. Every year, it is organized by the Day of Caring Committee and members of varous youth volunteer committees at United Way.

The Youth Day of Caring is a great way for students to connect with their peers, the United Way of Winnipeg, and the community at large.

Justin Cloutier was one of the organizers of the 2008 Youth Day of Caring. He wrote an article about the event that you can read by following this link.
