Student Community Service Award

Youth volunteers are making great things happen in Winnipeg. They are leaders in our community, and United Way is proud to celebrate their contributions.

This award goes to one Grade 11 student in each participating high school in Winnipeg. Award recipients are youth who set an example by:

  • Volunteering – investing their time, energy and talents – in their schools and communities.
  • Motivating others to get involved.
  • Connecting and working with others to make a difference.

High schools are responsible for nominating students and selecting their own recipients. Awards will be presented at schools’ undergrad awards ceremonies in the spring and fall.
If you are a youth volunteer, let your guidance counsellor know you’re interested in this award. If you work with youth volunteers, check out the award criteria and think about nominating and selecting someone in your school.
