You get connected, you take action, you deserve a pat on the back.
United Way’s Youth Relations Council celebrates youth who take an active role in their schools, workplaces and communities. The programs below are just a couple of the ways we show our appreciation for your volunteer leadership.
United Way Youth Leaders in Action Scholarship
The Youth Leaders in Action Scholarship celebrates the contributions of young community leaders and supports them as they pursue a post-secondary education.
Four scholarships of $500 are available to young people under 30 who have made a difference in their communities and are attending (or planning to attend) a post-secondary institution in Winnipeg. Recipients must have a connection with a United Way-funded agency, either as a volunteer, staff member, or program participant.
Student Community Service Award
Every year, this award goes to one Grade 11 student in each participating high school in Winnipeg.
Chances are you know someone who deserves to be nominated for the Student Community Service Award. Maybe you’re interested in being considered yourself? Either way, talk to your guidance counselor or give our Youth Relations Manager a call.
