If you’re looking to get connected – to United Way, to your peers, and to the community in general – you’re in the right place.
We’re going to use this website to provide information about every youth program at United Way, and we’ll also use it to highlight the cool things youth are doing to make a difference in Winnipeg.
Come back often – you can comment on articles, watch our latest video clips, and find other great youth resources.
Other ways to get connected:
Student Leadership Conference
Organized by students, for students, this conference features youth-led workshops and eye-opening presentations on volunteerism, leadership, fundraising and other topics. Have fun while connecting with other young leaders! Did we mention we’ll feed you too?
Urban Exchange (MyCityMySay.ca)
What do you like about living in Winnipeg? What issues are important to you and your friends? It’s your city, too . . . have your say. Urban Exchange is a unique opportunity for young people in Winnipeg to have a voice.
Get Something Started Workshop
If you’re in Grades 7 or 8 and want to learn about leadership and community volunteerism (or if you’re a junior high school teacher), the Get Something Started workshop is for you. Created and facilitated by high school students, GSS is a great way for young students to connect with their high school peers and develop their own community-building ideas.
